great lake prints is a collection of hand-made linocut and monotype prints created by Maileen Bugnaski. the linocut process involves carving an image on a linoleum block, and using a press or baren to transfer this image onto paper.

Originally from Kalamazoo, MI, Maileen Bugnaski is currently working in Chicago, IL. She completed a BFA in Studio Art with concentrations in printmaking and photography at Michigan State University, where she also earned an MA in Arts, Cultural Management & Museum Studies. Maileen’s work is inspired by natural scenes of the Great Lakes region.
